2020 Community Kite Festival

Welcome to our second Community Kite Festival at The Edge in Baldivis.  It was so popular last year that we decided to do it again!

It’s a FREE event held right here at The Edge.

What’s Happening

• a large kite flying demonstration
• instructed kite making activity with kite making kits
• a bouncy castle
• icecreams & refreshments.

2pm-5pm, Saturday 21 November 2020.

About ‘The Kite Man’

Michael Alvares, aka The Kite Man, will lead the kite festival.  He runs Kite Kinetics and is a regular overseas representative at International Kite Festivals. Michael has has represented Australia in over 30 countries.

The Kite Man developed his love for kites as a child, but then dove into kite design and kite making after completing studies. He has a wealth of knowledge around the mythology, aerodynamics and cultural history of kites that he kindly shares in a fun and interesting way.
