2020 Community Kite Festival Photos

The weather was glorious. The sun was shining brightly and there was plenty of wind to fly our kites at The Edge 2020 Community Kite Festival!

Kite master, Michael Alvarez from Kite Kinetics, set up a magnificent display of beautiful kites. Impressing everyone were his 8m Dolphin Kite and colourful oriental fish kites. They all soared so high above the grassed oval within the estate.

Children of all ages, and many adults, loved making and preparing their own kites to fly that afternoon. Many kites flew higher than they could ever have imagined. It really was a beautiful spectacle. Towards the end of the afternoon, Michael Alvarez, executed his popular kite lolly drop above the heads of all the children playing out on the grassed oval. What excitement this bought to the afternoon, as the children scattered across the oval to pick up and pocket the lollies.

Throughout the afternoon, residents also enjoyed a selection of yummy icecreams from Delish. The smaller kids had great fun with a bouncy castle and facepainting from Perth Bouncy Castle Hire, as well as play dough activity and chasing bubbles across the green, open space. Our beautiful oval at The Edge was a perfect venue.

Refreshments of fruit platters and water were made available to all.

Almost everyone who participated stayed until 5pm. It was a fun filled afternoon of activities, flying kites and making new friends.

A big thanks to the Perron Group and The Edge Baldivis for hosting such a fantastic event. All families were so relaxed and happy to enjoy playing in the fresh air together.

Such a special afternoon… so much fun!
